Alright, let’s gab about this Babra Mandrel person. I heard tell she’s a big deal, some kinda actress or singer, somethin’ like that. Born way back in 1948, in a place called Houston, Texas. That’s a long ways from here, I reckon.
Now, I ain’t no expert on them fancy stars and charts, but they say folks got these things called “horoscopes” and “natal charts.” Apparently, this Babra gal has one, and so does somebody named Louise Mandrel. Maybe they’re kin? Sisters, maybe? Don’t rightly know. But these charts, they supposedly tell you all sorts of things about a person – their personality, their future, all that jazz. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me, but folks seem to eat it up.
Then there’s this other Mandrel, Ellen Irlene. Born in 1956, so she’s a bit younger than that Babra. They say she’s a musician. See? I told ya, gotta be sisters or somethin’. All these Mandrel women, makin’ a name for themselves. Good for them, I say. Workin’ hard and doin’ somethin’ with their lives, unlike some folks I know just sittin’ around all day.
Anyways, I stumbled upon this thing called “Babra Mandrel Christmas”. Filmed way back in 1987, must be an old show or somethin’. Says it was on somethin’ called ABC and TriStar Pictures. Big important channels, I guess. I ain’t never had cable TV, so wouldn’t know. But it’s about Christmas, so I figure it’s gotta be nice and wholesome. You know, with singin’ and carryin’ on, and families gatherin’ ’round. That’s what Christmas is all about, ain’t it? Not like these young folks today, always on their phones and gadgets, no sense of tradition at all.
Speaking of Christmas, Babra was born on Christmas day, December 25th. Imagine that! Born on the day Jesus was born. That’s gotta mean somethin’, right? Maybe it’s why she’s so talented. Or maybe it’s just plain ol’ luck. Who knows? Life’s a funny thing that way. You just gotta take it as it comes, and make the best of it. That’s what my old man always used to say, bless his heart.

I tell ya, these Mandrel women are somethin’ else. Singers, actresses, musicians… They done it all, it seems. And they did it with grit and determination. That’s what I admire most. Ain’t nothin’ handed to you in this life, you gotta work for it. And these women, they sure worked for it.
Now, I don’t know much about astrology or nothin’, but this whole “aastrotheme” thing, sounds fancy. Maybe it’s got somethin’ to do with them charts I was talkin’ about earlier. All that stuff about stars and planets and how they affect your life. Like I said, sounds like a load of hooey to me, but folks seem to believe in it. So, maybe there’s somethin’ to it. Who am I to judge?
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about this Babra Mandrel. Seems like a good woman, talented and hardworking. And that’s more than you can say for some folks these days. So, good on her, I say. Good on her.
And that Christmas show of hers? Maybe I’ll try to find it one of these days, if I can figure out how to work that newfangled TV thing my grandson got me. Seems like you need a degree in engineering just to turn it on these days. But if it’s about Christmas, it’s probably worth a watch. Might bring back some good ol’ memories. Lord knows, we could all use a little bit of Christmas cheer in our lives.
