Prettier than a speckled pup, some folks say. You can get them on sale sometimes, they say, 70% off even! But even then, it’s probably more than I’d spend on a whole outfit.
And if you like gold, they got plenty of gold ones too. Gold bands, gold faces, all shiny and bright. You can find them on that eBay place too, all sorts of prices. Some are cheap, some are not so cheap. Sixteen dollars, twenty-six dollars, depends on what you want, I guess.
They even got some that can get wet, “water resistant” they call it. And they run on batteries, “quartz” they say. Don’t need no windin’, which is good, I guess. I ain’t got the patience for windin’ no watch.
So, there you have it. Jaclyn Smith watches. Shiny, fancy, and probably cost more than a good hen. But if you got the money and you like the way they look, why not? Me? I’ll stick with my old clock on the wall. It tells the time just fine, and it don’t need no batteries.
