Alright, alright, let’s talk about them colors, the ones they say is good for… what they call it? Cool toned folks. Yeah, cool toned. Sounds fancy, but it ain’t nothin’ complicated, I tell ya.
So, how do you know if you’re one of these “cool toned” people? Well, it’s got somethin’ to do with your skin, your eyes, you know. If your skin’s kinda pinkish, not yellowish, and your eyes are light-colored, like blue or green or maybe even gray, then you’re probably one of ‘em. My grandbaby, she’s got them light eyes, blue like the sky on a clear day. Pretty as a picture, she is. And her skin, it ain’t got that yellowy look, more like a rosy kinda pink. So yeah, she’s one of these cool-toned types, I reckon.
Now, what colors look good on these cool-toned folks? Well, let me tell ya, it’s all about them blues and greens and purples, the ones that look like jewels, you know? Emerald green, that’s a good one. Makes you look all bright and sparkly. And deep purple, like them fancy grapes they sell at the store. That’s a good color too. Makes you look… well, I don’t know what it makes you look like, but it looks nice, that’s for sure.
And then there’s lavender, that light purple color. That’s pretty, especially for the young’uns. My grandbaby, she’s got a lavender dress, and she looks like a little angel in it. And pink, too! Not that bright, hot pink, but a softer pink, like a rose. That looks good on cool-toned skin.
- Blue, blue, and more blue! Ice blue, bright blue, navy blue… all them blues look good. It’s like they were made for cool-toned folks.
- Green, but not just any green. Emerald green, that’s the one you want. It’s a deep, rich green, like them fancy stones they put in rings.
- And don’t forget about purple. Deep purple, lavender… they all work.
- Then you got your plain colors, like white, gray, and black. Them colors look good on everybody, but they look extra good on cool-toned folks. Bright white, real clean lookin’ you know. Gray, any kinda gray, dark or light, and black, plain old black, always a good choice.
Now, what about hair color? Well, if you’re cool-toned, you don’t wanna go gettin’ no warm-colored hair, like them orangey reds or them golden yellows. That’ll just make you look… off. You wanna stick with cool colors, like icy blonde or ash brown. Them colors will make your skin look good and your eyes pop. My niece, she dyed her hair this bright red color once, and Lord, it looked awful! She’s one of these cool-toned gals, and that red just didn’t suit her at all. She went back to her ash brown hair pretty quick, I tell ya.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about them colors for cool-toned folks. It ain’t rocket science, you know. Just stick with them blues and greens and purples, and you’ll look just fine. And remember them plain colors too, white, black and gray, can’t go wrong with them. And for your hair, keep it cool, like your skin. That’s all there is to it.
And one more thing, don’t go listenin’ to them fancy folks in the magazines. They try to make it all complicated, with all their fancy words and whatnot. Just use your common sense, and you’ll be alright. You know what looks good on you, and that’s all that matters. If you like a color, wear it. Don’t let nobody tell you different.
So go on now, and find yourself some pretty colors. And don’t forget what I told ya, Jewel tones! And if you see my grandbaby, tell her she looks beautiful in that lavender dress. She’s a cool-toned gal, that one, and she knows how to rock them colors.
