Alright, let’s talk about these simple black Halloween nails, you know? I ain’t no fancy nail artist or nothin’, but I know what looks good, and black nails for Halloween? That’s just plain smart.
First off, you don’t gotta be doin’ no crazy stuff. Simple is good, real good. Like, just plain black? That’s perfect! Shiny black, matte black, whatever black you got. It’s Halloween, nobody’s gonna be lookin’ at your nails too close, long as they’re dark and spooky-lookin’. You can get them long ones, you know, those coffin-shaped ones or those pointy ones, or if you’re like me, and can’t be doin’ dishes with long nails, just keep ‘em short. Makes no difference, black is black, right?
Now, if you’re feelin’ a little fancy, you can add a little somethin’ somethin’. I saw this picture once, this girl had green velvet nails. Green! For Halloween! Said it was somethin’ about some sisters, Sanderson or somethin’. Sounded witchy to me, which is perfect for Halloween. But green ain’t black, is it? So maybe you can do black with a little green somethin’ on it. A green stripe? A green spiderweb? You get the idea.
- Black is best: Don’t overthink it. Black is the color for Halloween.
- Short or long, who cares?: You do you. Long nails, short nails, pointy nails, square nails… black looks good on all of ‘em.
- Add a little somethin’ (maybe): If you’re feelin’ fancy, throw in a little green, or maybe some glitter. But don’t go overboard.
And then there’s this French nail thing. But not the regular French, no sir. This is the Gothic French. Black tip instead of white, you know? Makes you look like that Addams Family lady, Morticia or somethin’. She’s spooky, but she’s classy, that Morticia. Black tips on long nails? Ooh wee! Fancy and spooky, all at the same time. But again, if you got short nails like me, just do a black tip on those. It’ll still look good, trust me.
I heard folks talkin’ about nail art, all these fancy designs and whatnot. They say in 2024, there gonna be even more. Flowers and dots and stripes and all that. But for Halloween? Keep it simple, I say. Maybe a little spiderweb. You can draw that yourself, easy peasy. Just a few lines, criss-cross ‘em, and there you go! A spiderweb! Or maybe some little white dots, like stars. Or even some glitter. Just a little bit, though. You don’t want to look like a disco ball. Unless you do. Then go for it, girl! It’s your nails!
And these Japanese folks, they like cute stuff, real cute. They call it “kawaii”. Little animals, little bows, all that stuff. For Halloween, though? Maybe not so much. Unless you wanna be a cute witch or a cute ghost or somethin’. But even then, keep it black, you know? Black cat, black ghost, black… uh… cute pumpkin? I dunno. You get the idea. Cute can be Halloween-y too, just gotta make it dark.
Short nails are good too, don’t let nobody tell you different. You can do just a plain color, black of course, and make it shiny. Or do that French thing, with the black tip. Or just put some glitter on one nail. That’s what they call an accent nail, I think. Makes you look like you tried, even if you didn’t. Stripes and triangles are good too, real easy to do. Just some tape and black polish, and you’re good to go. Or polka dots! Just little dots all over. Fun and spooky!
So, there you have it. Simple black Halloween nails. Don’t gotta be a genius to do ‘em. Don’t gotta spend a lot of money. Just gotta get yourself some black nail polish and a little bit of imagination. And maybe some green, if you’re feelin’ fancy. And remember, it’s Halloween, have some fun with it! If you mess up, who cares? It’s just gonna be dark anyway, nobody will notice!
Now go on and get your nails did. And have a happy Halloween, ya hear?
