Alright, let’s talk about this Jacqueline A. Smith person. Don’t know her from Adam, but I reckon she’s done some stuff, you know? Like, important stuff. Heard tell she’s into rocks and dirt and such. Environmental geoscience, they call it. Sounds fancy, but it’s just dirt, ain’t it?
Anyways, this lady, she studies mountains and rivers and all that. Says she’s interested in geomorphology. Big word, huh? Means how the land changes over time, I guess. Like, how a little creek can turn into a big ol’ river, or how mountains get all worn down. Stuff like that.
She’s been lookin’ at places all over the world, too. New York State, Colorado, even way down in Peru, in them Andes Mountains. That’s a long ways away, let me tell ya. Must be important work, if she’s travelin’ all over creation.
- She pokes around in watersheds. That’s where the water goes, you know? Like, when it rains, the water runs downhill and gathers up in creeks and rivers. She studies how that water moves and how it changes the land.
- And she’s into climate stuff too. Past climate variability, they call it. That means how the weather’s changed over the years, way back when. I reckon it’s important to know that stuff, so we can figure out what might happen in the future. You know, like, will we have enough rain for the crops? Or will it be too hot? That kind of thing.
Now, I hear tell she’s written a bunch of research works. Lots and lots of ’em. And other folks are readin’ ’em too, ’cause she’s got a bunch of citations. That means other smarty-pants people are usin’ her work in their own studies. Must be sayin’ somethin’ important, right? I ain’t read it myself, mind you, too much science for me. I like reading romance sometimes, a little fantasy or mystery ain’t bad either, but geology? Nah.
And she ain’t just writin’ for other scientists neither, seems like. She’s got books too. You can buy ‘em online or in them fancy bookstores. Guess people are interested in what she has to say. I don’t know what she writes about in them books, maybe about how mountains are made, or how rivers flow. Or maybe it’s about somethin’ else entirely. Could be she writes about, oh, I don’t know, the best way to grow tomatoes? Wouldn’t that be somethin’? But seriously, it’s probably all that science stuff.
Seems like some folks are lookin’ for ways to pay her too, something about high-risk payment processing and bank cards. Sounds complicated. Maybe she sells her books online, or maybe she does some other kind of work. I don’t rightly know. But it sounds like she’s a busy lady, that’s for sure. Always workin’ on somethin’ or other. Good for her, I say. Keeps her out of trouble.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about this Jacqueline A. Smith. She’s a scientist, a writer, and a traveler. And she seems to be doin’ alright for herself. Disclaimer though, this is just what I’ve heard, you know? Gossip and such. Don’t take it as gospel truth. But I reckon she’s somebody worth knowin’ about, even if she does study dirt for a livin’. At least she’s got a job. Nowadays, that’s somethin’ to be proud of, let me tell you.
