Now, I ain’t no fancy hairdresser or nothin’, but I can tell you what I see. This Gayle, she’s had all sorts of hair over the years. I remember way back when, she had hair so long it practically touched the floor! Can you imagine that? Must’ve been a pain to wash and comb, all that hair. I bet it gave her a headache or two. They say she was thinkin’ ’bout cuttin’ it then, and I don’t blame her one bit.
- The Bob Look: Lately, though, she’s been sporting somethin’ shorter. A bob, they call it. It’s kinda like… well, it’s short and it swings around her face. Some folks say it’s a “no-fuss” kinda haircut, which I guess means it’s easy to take care of. And that makes sense, ’cause who wants to be fussin’ with their hair all day long? Not me, that’s for sure. I got things to do! They say this bob is parted on the side too, not right down the middle, you know? And her hair, it ain’t straight as a stick neither. It’s got a bit of a curl to it, kinda like mine after I wash it and let it dry on its own.
- The Wavy Style: Then there’s this other time, she had her hair a bit longer, not quite so short. It was all wavy, not curly like a poodle, but wavy like…well, like waves in a pond. And she had some of that hair hangin’ down over her forehead, what they call bangs. But these weren’t just straight across bangs, no sir. They was cut at an angle, kinda slidin’ down the side of her face. Made her look kinda fancy, I reckon.
- The Medium Brown Bob: And then there’s another bob, but this one’s a bit different. It’s still shortish, but it’s a nice medium brown color. And they say it frames her face real nice, makes her look all…elegant. That’s what they said, “elegant.” I guess that means she looks good. And her face, they say it’s oval shaped. I don’t know much about face shapes, but if they say it’s oval, I reckon it is.
Now, I saw somethin’ on the internet, a picture of her where she dressed up like that singer, Beyonce. For Halloween, it was. And her hair, it looked just like Beyonce’s! But it turned out that wasn’t no new haircut, just a wig or somethin’. Folks sure do get worked up about these things. Why, just the other day, she went back to her office, and ten people, TEN, asked her ’bout her hair! Can you believe it? Ten folks! She even had to make a video ’bout it, showin’ folks what she did.
So, this Gayle King, she likes to change up her hair, that’s for sure. Sometimes it’s short, sometimes it’s a bit longer, sometimes it’s curly, sometimes it’s wavy. I guess that’s what happens when you’re on TV, folks are always lookin’ at you. Me? I just wash my hair and let it be. Ain’t got time for all that fussin’ and fixin’.
